Tails/Dewclaws
All puppies come with tails docked and dewclaws removed unless specified. If you want your puppy to keep tail/dewclaws I must know before it is two days old and have a full payment down. (I cannot guarantee this). If your puppy doesn’t have its tail/ dewclaws removed the deposit is $500 (taken off total price).
Puppy Pick up
Puppies are ready for pick up at 8 weeks of age. If you have not contacted us by the time your puppy is 8 weeks old to make pickup arrangements we will assume that you are no longer able to get the puppy and your deposit will be forfeited and the puppy will be put back up for adoption. If for some reason you are unable to pick up the puppy at 8 weeks we will keep them free of charge until they are 9 weeks old. After 9 weeks we charge $55 per day plus any vet fees to keep them up to date on vaccines. All puppies will be up to date on vaccines, vet checked, micro-chipped, and wormed bi-weekly. All puppies are sent home with a Puppy Pack. The pack includes AKC or UKC registration paperwork, shot record, pedigree, a blanket with the mother’s scent, a small toy, a food sample, travel supplies and your choice of one larger gift from the puppy basket (dog clothes, toys, etc.). We do ask that when you pick up your puppy, you leave any other dogs in the car so as to not transmit any illnesses to the puppies. Final payment is due at the time you pick up your puppy in cash. Puppies can be flown safely (VLD) airport for a delivery fee and flight costs (these must be paid prior to the flight being scheduled). We will meet half-way if feasible and discussed ahead of time, or you may pick puppy up.
Placement of your puppy
We don't match puppies until they are 5 - 6 weeks of age. We do a Puppy Evaluation. This gives time for all of us to observe each puppies individual personality and for us to get to know each family better. A full written description is given about each puppy to make sure their temperament matches your lifestyle. We match puppies to their families after their evalutations.

After bringing your puppy home
Providing proper care of your dog includes regular dental and veterinary care. But just as important are nutrition, socializing, training, grooming, a safe environment and regular exercise.
For your puppy grow into a healthy, well behaved dog you will need to provide it with proper care.
Your puppy package will include recommendations based on our experience with the breed.
A Guide Called “Raising the Empowered Puppy” by Jeanette Forrey” is included in our puppy pack
Grooming is very important for this breed! If you are not prepared to provide regular grooming then you should find another breed. At home grooming includes brushing/combing hair and cleaning ears weekly. as well as bathing and nail trimming/grinding bi-weekly. Professional grooming offers many benefits and should be done every 6 to 8 weeks.
Puppy Promise
At Eagle Trail Kennels, our dogs and puppies are considered part of our family. Adopting one of our puppies is a long-term commitment of approximately 12–15 years, and we expect each owner to be fully prepared for the responsibility that comes with it. This includes providing a safe, stable, and loving environment where the puppy can thrive.
Proper care includes, but is not limited to, adequate nutrition, shelter, routine veterinary care and medications, regular exercise, socialization, attention, and training. We encourage all prospective owners to approach this commitment with the same level of care and responsibility as they would for a child.
If, at any point, you are unable to provide proper care for your dog, you are required to either place the dog in a carefully selected, suitable home or return the dog to Eagle Trail Kennels. This requirement will be clearly outlined in your contract.
Eagle Trail Kennels reserves the right to refuse the sale of a puppy at our sole discretion to ensure the well-being of our dogs.
Limited Registration
All puppies come with limited registration , which DOES NOT allow breeding rights. Buyer agrees to spay/neuter the puppy by 18 -24 months (unless an earlier time is medically necessary).
